Eugene McWilliams
Eugene McWilliams vanished not long after his wife, Anna Harriss, died of tuberculosis in 1908. The children moved in with their maternal grandparents. His death certificate has his remains shipped to Clinton, LA. Why? Who were his parents?
All we know is that he was a rice broker and hung out at the old Cotton Exchange in New Orleans. He seems to have dropped off the face of the earth after Anna died, with the exception of showing up on the 1920 census as a lodger with his sister Clara and Eula in the home of the Littles in New Orleans.
I believe his parents were JR and Eugenia McWilliams. I have some census data on them, but the next branch up, and Eugenia's maiden name, is a brick wall.

Hughes, the Immigrant
Things get cloudy when determining the ancestry of our Hughes immigrant brothers. Some sources say father is John, but best evidence I have is Nathaniel, who was the son of John from Wales. Any documentation on these folks would be greatly appreciated!

Buried apart.....
Why are William Washington Byrd and Hulea Emmaline Byrd not buried together, or at least in the same cemetery?
